|Karlie Kloss Cements Her Status As The Coolest Model There Is By Funding Coding Classes For Women|
The 22-year-old supermodel took a coding course with the Flatiron School in New York last summer, and it's clearly peaked her interest in the technology field. So much so, that Karlie is now offering 20 high school-aged girls the chance to win scholarships at the Flatiron School so they can Kode With Karlie (see what she did there?)
And all the young hopefuls have to do to bag a place on the course – which will see them acquire free tuition from the school's Introduction to Software Engineering course this summer – is create a 60 second video telling Karlie why they want to learn code.
'I think it's crucial that young women learn to code as early as possible to ensure that we, as women, have a voice and a stake in what the world looks like,' Karlie said in a video she posted online alongside the message: 'I’m so excited to partner with @FlatironSchool to announce the #KodeWithKarlie Scholarship! This summer, 20 young women will have the chance to take the same amazing two week coding course that I took last year. To apply for a spot, record a video telling me why YOU want to learn code.
